Skynyrd, Cheap Trick, 38 Special
This was the 5th time seeing Skynyrd, 3rd time for 38 Special, and my 4th time for Cheap Trick. We chose 4th row seats as a retirement gift for myself and were treated to an unforgettable show. 38 Special, the first concert I attended in 1983, can still rock just like they did back then. Rick Neilson from Cheap Trick is an amazing guitar master, Daxx Neilson pounds the drums, Tom Peterson excels as a superb basist, and Robin Zander's voice remains as strong and crisp as ever. Skynyrd electrified the crowd with classics from the original members and tunes from their lineup since reforming in 1987. Skynyrd's "Farewell Tour" was a definite highlight, but time will tell if it truly is goodbye. Nonetheless, this show was truly unforgettable.
